CANBY - Sarah Elizabeth McClung, 87, af 245 NW 7th, died Tuesday at an Oregon City nursing home.

She was born in Rotan, Tex. She moved to Silverton from Arizona in 1932 and in 1955to Oregon City for eight years before returning to Marion. She moved to Canby in 1972.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. David Brown of Canby; one son, Chester McClung, Marion; one brother; one sister; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Mt. Crest Abby Chapel in Salem. Intombment will be in the Mt. Crest Mausoleum. In charge of arrangements are Everhart & Kent of Canby.

SILVERTON - Charles Lawson McClung, 71, a resident of Silverton for 25 years, died at his home, 208 Jersey street, Thursday night.

Mr. McClung was born March 25, 1884, in Arkansas.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah and two daughters, Mrs. Joe English and Mrs, Dave Brown, all of Silverton; a son, Chester McClung, Turner; a brother, Roy McClung, Casa Grande, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs, Boss Huckaby, Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Bertie Edwards, Hobart, Okla.; and 14 grandchildren.

SILVERTON - Funeral services for Charles McClung, 71, who died Friday at the family home, 208 Jersey St., Silverton, will be held from the Elman Funeral Home, Monday, Nov. 7, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

The Rev. Robert Morgan will officiate. Concluding rites will be at the Salem Mt Crest Abbey.

City View Cemetery is located in southeast Salem Oregon. Take Commercial St SE to about 2300 block. The Pioneer cemetery is located along Commercial Street. City View cemetery is directly behind (west of) Pioneer cemetery. Turn west onto Hoyt at the south edge of Pioneer cemetery. Follow Hoyt about a block to the entrance to City View cemetery. The cemetery office is on the left just before the entrance.You can see Mt Crest Abby Mausoleum from the entrance.

The McClung burials are located in the Santiam wing, Crypt 10, tier 4, east wall. Enter through the large double doors, go straight ahead through the glass doors, past the Chapel on the left and turn left into the Santiam wing. The McClung crypt is in the top row on the left near the end of the wing.
