The 1918 WWI Registration card you cite indicates 5 children, but does not indicate a spouse. 1910 and 1920 Census for Quay county both list a Thomas L Carden (widowed). The 1910 Census does not list any children living with him at the time, but the 1920 Census lists 3 children; Joe (1904), Leo (1907), and Josephine (1908). This Thomas L Carden does not appear to be the same as the Thomas L Carden listed in the Yuma, Arizona 1920 Federal Census. Michael Dean, dean_zoo_dad@yahoo.com
